Summary

Part of a package of 5 bills which rewrites the legislation currently providing for the administration of Australia’s offshore petroleum resources, the bill replaces the

Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Registration Fees) Act 1967
by imposing fees to be payable in relation to the approval and registration of transfers and dealings in titles under the proposed
Offshore Petroleum Act 2005
; and makes transitional arrangements.
